(see 6.4.3), the MTTR shall be not greater than 15 minutes (see 6.4.2). Maximum maintenance
time for correction of a failure shall be not greater than 45 minutes at the 95th percentile of
distribution (see 4.3.7).
3.3.11 Environmental service conditions. HRS equipment shall operate as specified when
subjected to the following environmental service conditions:
3.3.11.1 Temperature ranges. Exposed equipment (see 3.3.11.1.1) shall be subjected to a
temperature range of -28 to +65 °C (-18 to +149 °F). Sheltered equipment (see 3.3.11.1.2) shall
be subjected to a temperature range of 0 to +50 °C (32 to 122 °F). Exposed and sheltered, non-
operating HRS equipment shall be subjected to a temperature range of -62 to +71 °C (-80 to
+160 °F) (see 4.3.3.1 and 4.3.3.2).
3.3.11.1.1 Exposed equipment. The stabilization data indicator, including the illuminated
reference bar and the warning lamp, shall be classified as exposed equipment.
3.3.11.1.2 Sheltered equipment. The electronic components assembly and the
control-indicator shall be classified as sheltered equipment.
3.3.11.2 Humidity. HRS equipment shall be subjected to the humidity conditions in 4.3.3.3
and shall maintain specified performance parameters and show no evidence of physical
deterioration.
3.3.11.3 Salt fog. The HRS components shall undergo the salt fog tests in 4.3.3.4.
Electrical operation is required after the exposure period, and the HRS shall show no evidence of
physical deterioration.
3.3.11.4 Sunshine. The electroluminescent lamps shall maintain specified performance and
show no post test evidence of deformation, surface instability, splits, brittleness, or cracks in the
lamp seal after the sunshine test of 4.3.3.5. Sunshine tests on complete assemblies are not
required.
3.3.11.5 Fungus. Exposed and sheltered equipment shall operate and show no physical
deterioration after testing in accordance with 4.3.3.6.
3.3.11.6 Wind. The HRS equipment shall not incur wind damage and shall operate as
specified after being subjected to testing in accordance with 4.3.3.7.
3.3.11.7 Icing. HRS components shall operate as specified after being exposed to the icy
conditions of 4.3.3.8. There shall be no physical damage to the equipment.
